Program Outline

Get set up in our learning portal, access LinkedIn Learning, and begin virtually networking with your fellow learners.

Course 1

Learn how to identify and evaluate system vulnerabilities using industry-standard databases. Become proficient in assessing exploitability and impact, while also considering the business context for comprehensive risk management.

Assessment 1

Gain the confidence to effectively articulate your findings and recommendations in a report, and make informed decisions using the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS).

Course 2

Refine your skills in identifying risks in cybersecurity measures, prioritizing corrective actions, and selecting appropriate frameworks to enhance cyber defense mechanisms. You will develop the technical expertise and critical thinking necessary to tackle and mitigate cyber threats.

Assessment 2

Create an Incident Report for a cyber attack at a small electric utility company that helps analyze the impact of the incident, prioritize actions based on overall risk, and recommend a specific industry framework to mitigate future incidents.

Course 3

Gain hands-on experience by mapping, evaluating, and tackling security vulnerabilities in realistic simulated scenarios.

Assessment 3

Step into the shoes of a cybersecurity consultant working with a medium-sized utility company and learn how to strengthen their cyber defenses. You’ll identify security gaps in the company’s IT and OT infrastructures, align network architecture with the Purdue Model, and implement effective network segmentation to keep those networks separate.

Complete LinkedIn Learning’s Job Readiness Training, connect with our career coach for guidance on networking and resume building, and gain access to networking, event and job opportunities with our energy industry partnerships when available.
