This course enables clinicians to identify changes in the mental status of a person with a developmental disability, monitor and document changes, and advocate for the client’s accommodations when participating in the mental status assessment (MSA).
Given a patient/client with a developmental disability, a learner will be able to identify changes in baseline mental status of the person, advocate for their needs during the MSA, and clearly document behavioral and cognitive presentations according to MSA guidelines.
