This microcredential aims to address the gap in mental health care environment and better prepare nurses who are working in mental health care settings.
This microcredential is designed to enhance learners skills when delivering human services and better prepare nurses and other medical professionals working in healthcare to understand trauma and support individuals in managing stress to improve their quality of life. You will develop trauma-informed relationships with patients/clients by working collaboratively to form meaningful connections through increased awareness, employing a strengths based approach, fostering opportunities for empowerment and maximizing a safe and trusting environment which is inclusive to all.
