This microcredential aims to address the gap in mental health care environment and better prepare nurses who are working in mental health care settings.
Our microcredential focuses on integrating mental health law and legislation in clinical decision-making and health teaching when managing care processes for mental health patients/clients. Through our program, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal and ethical issues surrounding mental health care and learn how to navigate the complex intersection of mental health and the law. You will also develop practical skills in incorporating legal considerations into clinical decision-making and health teaching, ultimately improving the quality of care for your patients/clients. Learners will be able to integrate mental health law/legislation in clinical decision-making and health teaching when managing care processes for mental health patients/clients.
