Team TALENT

May 16, 2022

TALENT is delighted to announce the appointment of Brad MacIsaac to our Board of Directors. Brad is currently the Vice-President, Administration at Ontario Tech University.
One of Ontario Tech’s original employees, Brad formerly served as Assistant Vice-President, Planning and Analysis, overseeing a period of substantial infrastructure growth at the university, including the development of Ontario Tech’s Strategic Plan. Brad’s expertise on our board will be invaluable as we continue to develop our student and alumni job readiness strategies.
“Brad has been connected to Ontario Tech TALENT Inc. since its launch in 2020, having served as a member of the university’s original working group, formed to determine how best to establish a wholly owned, commercial subsidiary for our institution. His deep connections to the business since its creation will enable him to engage effectively and rapidly as a new board member in support of TALENT’s goals.” Dr Steven Murphy, President and Vice Chancellor, Ontario Tech University.
In addition to his involvement with numerous initiatives all of which contribute to the success of the university and its functions, Brad is affiliated with The Council of Ontario Universities, Ontario University Registrars’ Association and the Society for College and University planning, actively demonstrating his strong commitment to the ecosystem and its functions, as a whole.
Brad’s experience and leadership across many of the university’s departments including the Registrar’s Office, Institutional Research, Continuous Learning, and Centre for Institutional Quality and Enhancement, will strengthen TALENT’s value proposition to all post-secondary institutions, internationally.
“Brad’s ability to help us navigate complex post-secondary environments to better serve student and alumni populations will be invaluable to us as we strengthen our offer to those market segments.” comments Rachel Sumner, TALENT’s CEO.

About Talent:

The talent shortage is an ongoing issue for most sectors in Canada. Coupled with rapidly shifting technological advances and mass resignations, the time is now to start exploring all solutions. Microcredentials serve as a highly viable solution for employers wanting to reskill their existing workforce and/or upskill those looking to enter the workforce. Off-the-shelf microcredentialing options are not always suitable for a specialized skill or specific sector, and TALENT™ has accepted this challenge and made it our mission to provide custom options to sectors experiencing talent shortages. It’s time to increase the ‘trickle’ of talent entering the pipeline to a ‘flood’ and microcredentials are a key tool in achieving this.
